Magpie Yarn will be hosting three Quince & Co Trunk Shows over the next few months. Although focusing on shawls, they also include some spectacular sweaters and accessories. Projects from each of the collections are included on the class schedule.

If a class doesn’t fit into your schedule join us for a casual KAL. These meet-ups are free and open to anyone. Each participant must supply their own pattern copies. No sharing, please, we want to support the designers’ wonderful creativity.
CRAZED SCANDINAVIAN COWL: Wednesdays in January 2-4:30 pm
Wendy Johnson has gone off the deep end for this cowl. 18 different charted Scandinavian patterns. Work it in two colors or change it up for each section. It is worked in fingering weight yarns.
SHAWLS: Thursdays in February 2-4:30 pm
Every knitter has a shawl pattern they have been wanting to knit but never seem to find the time. Cast-on that long coveted pattern in the company of your shawl soul mates.
ANYTHING SOCKS: Mondays in March, 2-4:30pm
Although Magpie hosts a Sock Club the 2nd Saturday of every month, weekends don’t suit everyone’s schedule. Work on any pattern you choose, try a new heel technique or a fun new yarn.
VIRUS SHAWL CROCHET-A-LONG: Tuesdays in April 2-4:30pm
Hey you closet crocheters, let’s do this thing. The Virus Shawl has been around for a while. It is easy enough for beginners and Julia Marquardt has created some outstanding tutorials on Youtube, It is beautiful in ombre lace weight.
ANYTHING BABY: Thursdays in May, 2-4:30pm
The final KAL this spring will be devoted to anything baby. From booties to blankets, sweaters, hats, soakers. Prepare for the little ones in your life, share your ideas.
All clubs meet from 2-5pm, are free and open to everyone. Please join us for a social afternoon of knitting and laughter.
UFO CLUB closes out the month on the last Saturday. We all have lots of Unfinished Objects lurking in the bottom of our knitting bag. No reason to suffer alone. Come get some encouragement. Who knows, you may find someone there who would love to weave-in your ends.
